Page numbers are for draft copy at present; they will be replaced with correct numbers when final book is formatted. Chapter numbers are correct and will not change now.

When. looking at a class or cluster, a central example is one that is far form the edges, so that small pertubations in the values in the example do not change the classification. For example, a blackbird is a central example of a bird, wereas a penguin (lfughtless swims a lot) owuld be a boundary example. Cenral exmaples can be useful in explainable AI when the rules for allocating classes have been generaed using machine learning.
